Hosted at the stunning Mount Avoca Winery, the Trail Run Wine Weekend is designed to be the perfect getaway for families, mates and trail lovers. Pitch your tent right on the winery grounds for Friday and Saturday night, wake up amongst the vines, and step straight onto the start line.
The Trails: From Fast Vines to Rugged Ridges
Whether you're stepping up for a marathon-distance epic or bringing the kids along for the 2.5km Family Verjuice Dash, there's a distance for everyone. The courses wind through the beautiful vine-filled corridors of Mount Avoca and the Blue Pyrenees before climbing into the rugged ridgelines and gravel tracks of the State Forest.
Sunday: Relays & Recovery
Keep the festival vibes rolling into Sunday! Team up with your mates for the 21km Cab Sav Laps Relay, tackle all three laps solo for a 21km challenge, or shake out the legs with a quick and tasty 5km dash before packing up camp.

Get ready for a challenging, scenic and uniquely delicious marathon trail experience. Starting flat and fast through the stunning vineyards of Mount Avoca and Blue Pyrenees wineries, this route quickly turns up the dial as you head into the foothills.
Course Highlights
The Climbs: Warm up over the first 9km before tackling the climb to Governors Lookout. Save some energy for "Guv's Mistress", a steep and demanding 1km ascent that earns you the right to crest the spectacular Dead Wood Ridge.
Ridge Running & Rugged Trails: Enjoy 10km of spectacular ridge running with sweeping valley views, blending jeep tracks and flowing singletrack before taking on 11km of rugged, undulating terrain along the famous Pyrenees Endurance Trail.
The Descent: Reward your hard work with a thrilling 345m vertical descent from Mount Avoca to the Waterfalls Campground.
The Tasty Finale: Skirt Sugarloaf Reservoir on bespoke event-only singletrack before reaching the famous Tasty Trail Cheese & Wine Aid Station. Enjoy a nip of local wine and a mouthful of soft, salty cheese before floating down the final hill through the vines.
Cross the finish line to receive your finisher's "medal" ? a custom engraved wine glass ? then head straight to the cellar door to fill it with your complimentary beverage. We highly recommend the Shiraz!
