Celebrate Fathers Day weekend in Melrose - Campfires and beautiful Spring weather - perfect camping
About the Course – Dodging Bullets plus a bit! Melrose is stunning when the creek runs but you can be assured of wet feet! We may put a kayak leg in this year!! Truly we will try to avoid the wet feet scenario one way or the other! If you haven't ridden in Melrose & don't know the Dodging Bullets trail then expect hand cut narrow trail with a few technical swoopy descents with easy options for the less confident. Lap distance - approximately 10kms give or take a bit, depending on how much trail building we can do before 2 September! As long as you have ridden some singletrack you'll be fine! Fitness - Each lap will take an average of 30 mins – 1 hour - depending on whether we manage to entice you to take a short cut or whether you want to complete or compete! Remember this will be an event that will play with your mind... are you a saint or sinner?!
Don't forget to dress up - your prize might be worth more than 1st place!
Save a little energy for a day in Melrose celebrating Fathers Day! A family ride to Kookaburra Creek Retreat on Sunday will help as a wind down! Start with a complimentary pancake breakfast at Over the Edge. Stick around in Melrose for some good old fashion fun with the kids - OPAL will have their kids games out for all to play, head out for GEOcaching or MTB orienteering and of course the Modular Pump Track is here in Melrose! Before you hit the road grab a great lunch at the Mt Remarkable Hotel.
